My first tech role was as a test analyst at Fujitsu. I was recruited alongside other graduates to address a skills shortage in software packaging. Some of the group specialised in packaging software and some went into the testing of the work. I took the latter path and 20 years later I still have a great passion for software quality and testing.

I worked for Nectar for several years which was great as it touched on such a wide variety of technologies. I was fortunate enough to spend 1.5 years working in India, when Nectar went under the global banner of Aimia. After returning from India I worked for the Telecoms company Truphone. Whilst Truphone was on a much smaller scale than the big MNOs but it still offered all the services; it was an opportunity to work across the full spectrum of telco offerings.

More recently I worked for digital agencies and consultancies, moving into wider technical leadership roles. My stand-out skills are in delivery and that’s where I find the greatest satisfaction. Seeing your work in the wild is a rewarding feeling, especially when the team behind it has bonded and delivered high-quality results.

I look forward to helping more teams develop to their full potential as we seek to address challenges and opportunities around us.
